The BJP government will give Rs 5,000 to small businesses and Rs 25,000 to farmers

The Karnataka government has announced a package of Rs 1,610 crore to provide relief to those affected by the lockdown to prevent the spread of the corona virus. The state government has announced a relief package for farmers, small, cottage and medium enterprises (MSMEs), florists, laundresses, barbers, auto and taxi drivers among others. The Karnataka government has announced an 11 per cent increase in welcome / excise duty, which is more than the public increase of six per cent in the budget.

Under this relief package, flower growers will get a relief of Rs 25,000 per hectare. Dhobi and Nai will be compensated Rs 5,000. Auto and taxi drivers will be given Rs 5,000. Construction workers will get Rs 3,000, they have already been paid Rs 2,000.

Professionals like Vanand and Dhobi have suffered a lot due to Corona, so an estimated 60,000 Dhobis and 2,30,000 Vanands will be given a one-time compensation of Rs 5,000 each. Apart from this, seven lakh 75 thousand auto and taxi drivers will also get Rs 5-5 present.

Yeddyurappa said the closure had severely damaged the MSME and it would take time to get it back on track. MSME's two month fixed electricity bill will be waived. Interest and penalties will be waived on two-month electricity bills of large enterprises. The Chief Minister has announced relief in electricity bills to all classes of consumers.

In addition, the government has decided to send an additional Rs 3,000 each to construction workers through DBT. The chief minister said a total of Rs 1,610 crore would be used in the relief package. So that those affected by the lockdown will benefit.
